I am curious about the lazy and horrible people in your store. In mine, there is this one girl who stated as a cashier, but got stuck being a courtesy clerk because she was slower than Christmas while checking people out and she couldn't count back change. Now that's she's a bigger she is still slow as crap and makes it hard on everyone. Also, when she gets carts she only gets THREE FRICKING CARTS AT A TIME because "it's too much work for her."
We have 2, 500+lb guys on night stock crew. They can barely walk unassisted. Well, they waddle, not so much walk. We also have 2 mentally disabled people on night stock, one's not so bad, while he's awake, the other can't even read most things. Then there's a musician. He calls in at least 4 times a month to play shows.
we have co workers constantly 30+ to a 1 hr+ late every shift.
sunday, one called out (who usually is a hour late) a hour before his shift started, another came in 30 minutes later cuz he was "tired", and another 1 1/2 hr later cuz he was in a different city.. OH and ANOTHER one because he thought he came in at 12:30 (he was scheduled at 9:30am)
our management does NOT CARE!!!!! like, what the eff do these people do? can they not fire people for constantly being late?!?!??!
We have a mentally handicapped worker at our store. The other day he tried to run a payroll check as a personal check on the register. I talked to the other office worker, and we had a courtesy clerk take him off the register and kept him off the register for the rest of the day. He's also piss-ass slow on the register, he is the slowest bagger, and he has bagged food and cleaning stuff together enough times for multiple customers to complain about him. And he almost got me fired a couple months ago for starting a rumor that I was "touching" a female co-worker behind the service desk.
A few days ago he disappeared from the front end without telling anybody (he always does this), and I had to give him an ultimatum: "If we have to have this conversation again, it will be upstairs with a manager."

Maybe he had to go to the restroom. Who the hell are you to tell someone not to leave the front end? I was a Utility Clerk my job was to sweep the store and get trash and clean the restrooms.
On a few occasions I worked night if someone needed to swap. One particular supervisor told me I had to stay up front. I told him I was a Utility Clerk I have to do sweeps restrooms and trash. He told me it was real busy right now and he wanted me up front.
I just stayed up front because I did not feel like arguing.
But a few minutes later I walked off to use the restroom. When I got back he asked where I went I said to the restroom. He told me next time to tell him, That pissed me off so I went to see the Assistant closing manager. I told him I was 45 years old I am not in school and I am not gonna ask to go to the restroom. He told me I was correct and also I needed to to my normal duties. He said he would talk to that supervisor and I guess he did because nothing else was said.

We have a department manager who does absolutely nothing all day. Being buddies with store management is why they still have their job.
I have one of those and I am am always getting in trouble for not cleaning up after him as I'm the receiving clerk. They leave everything for me to clean up so 5's is impossible and forget about getting paper work done.
Horrifyingly bad managers aside, I have a co-worker now who is in the way. Always trying the same childish games to try and get out of work. Seems to have no regard for others, little for self, and probably unintelligent.
Tries to blame me for variations on the same dumb moves over and over.
