My question is...if I have 23 hours and less senior person has 20 but on one of the 3 days they have a better shift....can I claim just that day or do I have to claim the whole week?
That's not going to work out. If you want an earlier shift, change your availability like she has. She doesn't have more hours than you, just a different time schedule. Your available, so you are scheduled.
I have a question. Why do you want to be such a dickhead and take someone else's schedule? Just work the schedule you were given and next time put in a request.

Exactly, if you're both working nights neither of you have probably worked there that long so just work the night and get it over with... idk why people care so much about everyone else's schedule all the time.
It depends doesnt it? No one at my store to my knowledge has actually claimed hours. Maybe in different departments idk. But I thought generally if the person you're trying to claim hours from does NOT have more hours then you, its not possible. Generally people with more seniority has more hours unless they restrict their availability but you cant take from someone who has less.
What are you 12 years old with the name calling...dick head. You have no idea what my situation is. You sure are judgemental. Glad I don't work with you. All I did was ask a question...geesh.
Yeah, it's easier to see if they can trade, because bumping causes a huge mess.
To answer your question though, at least in my store, i heard you have to bump the whole week.
Our contract you can claim by the day or a week. You can also claim an earlier start time.
Because who needs friends anyway
I have friends outside of work. Not at work to get friends. And again y'all are very judgemental without knowing the whole story.
Then tell us the whole story. All we know is you want to take another employee's shift because you think they have in your words, "a better shift" than you do.

My "story" is not a pertinent part of my original question. And for the name caller I was not a "dick head" and did not take this persons shift. I posted what I thought was a simple question. Did not expect to be bullied by the name calling.
Ok... being "bullied" or name called isn't nice, but when you come on here and start asking about what is universally considered a total douche move in Krogerland... that's going to be the answer to your question, and you might not like it.
That's what you really need to know.
Otherwise, you ask your store manager or shop steward. Most of these things are better answered there.

You claim you're being bullied because somebody called you out? Sorry, but you're not to turn this around and make it look like you're the victim.
