I had an over the phone interview and was told to come in the following Monday. I went in on the closest Kroger store and I had to sign some forms and get a drug test. The woman who gave me all of this, told me to come in for orientation on the following Saturday and that she would give me information regarding the stuff I needed to bring on Friday.
However, I only got an onboarding email and that was it. I can't get ahold of anybody from HR, so I don't know what exactly to do. I thought she said orientation was from 1-4 but I'm not sure. I am also not certain if everything is going to be at the store I was hired at or if would be elsewhere.
o.O How long was your orientation? I don't remember it being a full shift's length or anything. It felt long, boring, and pointless as hell, but I'm pretty sure it was only a couple of hours. We watched some videos and took turns reading some ****.
Mine was about noon to 3 on a Sunday. That was 2 years ago for the front end. You will spend around 8 hours clicking through computer training, but that is a different day.
I'd call the store and ask if the HR person is in. If not, ask for them to leave a note for them with your phone number.
Nevermind, I got everything figured out. You're right orientation is around 1-4 or something like that. It was in fact at the store I'll be working at. Training will start in a few days from now.
