Walmart is JUST FINE!

I spent many, many years detesting how Wal-Mart was such a lousy store and bad for other businesses. I also delighted in singing Kroger's praises and trying to get Wal-Mart shoppers to convert. I spent many thousands in Kroger's stores for at least 10 years, probably more.

Then I went to work for Kroger. After seeing first hand the way they treat their employees the last couple of years, I have walked out of their doors never to give them another dime. And I will jump at any opportunity to let others know how behind the "Customer 1st" and smiling faces is the most intolerable acts of employee cruelty imaginable.

Wal-Mart is JUST FINE! Compared to the sleazy corporation that is Kroger, Wal-Mart is better, hands-down.

When will companies learn that when they treat their employees like crap, they are just chiseling away at their customer base. It's sad.

OMG, that's my story!  I hated Walmart.  Refused to shop there.  Then I started working for Kroger and 3 1/2 years later I quit.  I shop Walmart now and other grocery stores in town.

Astute observation.  They can't be serious about "customer first" when they are employee-last.  Take reasonable care of your peeps so they can take care of your customers.

Dumb-arses . . . who think meanness conquers all.  History begs to differ . . . and so do I.

I shop at both Kroger and Walmart depending on what i need.

Walmart isn't a bad store, but open some checkouts for Christsakes.

I was the opposite, I worked krogers for 5 years, I went to Walmart, and was shocked, at how much better I was treated,

Just quit Krogers after almost 8 almost 9 years there! Yesterday was my last day! I put in my two weeks notice. I was getting good money and heath benefits from the union. I only worked 20 to 30 hours a week the last 6 months because I had gone back to school and I was being treated like I was working 40 hours a week! I say about the last 3 years I was there they wrote me up for any little thing I did. Right or wrong they wrote you up! I worked there 5 year prior to that and never got a write up once! I should have quit when I was suspended for a week last August for what someone else did! They never came back afterward. I would rather get another job and make less money and be happy! Stress is not worth $14.95 an hour!

I wish them the best of luck getting someone for $8.50 an hour to do the things I did!

I'm not shopping at Kroger's ever again!
