And got both a Health Insurance Card and Prescription Drug card in the mail.
However! That was about two weeks ago, and they've yet to take any money of of my check so...
How do I know if and when I can use my insurance?
On top of that, it keeps saying on my page about 'not taken my health screening yet' so... do I have to do that first? Is that something I have to do before I can use anything health insurance wise?
And if no one knows, does anyone know whom I can call and/or ask about this kinda stuff?
Call the numbers on the back of both cards to find out your status! And if you know your union's number, google their employee health and welfare phone number because they can answer more questions. The insurance company and prescription company can only tell you if you have coverage and what date it began.
about the screening - that is dependent on the type of plan you have (i'm exempt yay) and the health and welfare number can answer that for you too.
If you have to get it and you don't get it done at a little clinic, they should have the form at work or you can print it off and take it to your primary care. it's just a thorough physical.
