My contract says that we're supposed to get a raise after 6 months and after a year. I've been with Kroger for a year and a half and I have yet to see a raise. I've tried asking around, but nobody can really give me a straight answer. Who is the BEST person to go to about this?
If you're classified as a Courtesy Clerk, you likely do not get raises (outside of maybe one, as I've heard that's the case with some divisions). Still, you can ask management, but if you have a pleasant ASP that is good with the employees (not all of them are...), you can ask he/she or your SRS/payroll person. Management has a tendency to not be upfront and/or helpful when it comes to inquiring about raises, so that's why I suggested some alternatives. Or, you could speak to the union steward in the store and see what he/she says.

If you've read the contract then talk with the union. Ask them to file a grievance for you and get your raise and back pay. Kroger management wont help you with that.
