Just hit my day and in the eschedule I can take vacation and a personal day. How do I check how many hours my vaction week is worth, and what is a personal day? My HR Express is saying 0 on everything.
Check with whoever does your payroll. At our store, there is a list of who needs to take a vacation and how many Personal Days each person has by the time clock. All PH days for this year need to be done by the end of this week here. Some vacations were approved at the beginning of the year for the end of this month.
Express HR is inaccurate. The payroll person has an accurate list.
A personal day is a day that a person needs to call in or just take a day off during the week. Full timers get 8 hours per PH day. Part timers get 4 hours per PH day. Your payroll person might be able to tack it onto a previous paycheck if you were under 40 hours a week.
If your anniversary date is 12-7, your contract might specify that you have to wait until next year to use it. Not sure how that works.
If you are part time, you are paid the average hours a week that you worked for the last 52 weeks. If you are a CC, you might not get vacation pay.
I can only guess the answers to your questions. Only your payroll person or store manager can answer your questions for you.
Thanks I got it, 30.5 hour vacation and a 4 hour personal day. I need to use them by the end of January. My manager is cool though I think he is letting me take my vacation next week.
