Ive been working full-time for the last 7 months, according to one person I'm now eligible for insurance. I called to find out that kroger classifies everyone part-time, so I won't be eligible for insurance for another 3 months. I'm older and in poor health, I need the insurance. I've consulted a labor lawyer, we are discussing a class action suit against kroger. It's bad enough they are paying such pathetic wages, i'm going to get Kroger. I work at store 744. Mr Maple is the store manager.
You shouldn't give such specific information. There's several store 744 is looks like. It really depends on what your union contract states under "health and welfare." If you were in Atlanta you would be eligible since you have to have worked six months and you've worked seven.
You never want to give out too much information about yourself on the internet, because once you do, it's hard to get rid of. Even though you're posting anonymously, with the info you've given, it wouldn't be too hard for someone at your store to figure out who this is. I don't image anyone would care enough, but always safe than sorry. (Especially if you're considering legal action.) I once had a coworker who uploaded a video rant to Youtube about work, and because she mentioned names and the specific store, they were able to fire her over it.
Look over your contract and talk to your union rep. If what they told you is stated in your contract, there probably won't be much you can do about it.
I'm aware that they may figure out who it is, I can't say I care as I'm about to quit. I put the part in a legal action hoping to ruffle some feathers. Ive decided to work for Trader Joes- a better company from what I know. Thanks for your response.

If your attorney is talking class action he has his eye on the big money, not you. He is in it for the long haul and your part of the settlement (if there is one) could take years. But let him try anyway, doesn't cost you anything. Hope everything work out for you.
