I used to work Uscan and always got the people with the stolen cards/information buying gift cards. You can tell because they do several transactions over and over, buying less than $100 each time to avoid an ID. I would put the lane in green and ask for their ID. They would either "go to their car to get it" and not come back, or they would show a different card with their ID, or sometimes the ID matched because the magnetic strip has different information than the card they use. Criminals have a lot of different ways to steal - it's pretty ingenious, I think.
Anyways, I would do like I said above. If the ID matched, I said OK and let them do it because I have no "real proof" that it's stolen, even though no normal person would make purchases like that. Honestly it's not your job to be police - Kroger can afford the loss and whoever had their information stolen will get their $$ back from the card issuer.

Well there is really no need to do better! It's really not my fault you can't read and comprehend most things. I have a great sense of humor, you don't. As far as ignorant, you don't want to go there with me. You will definately loose. Sense of humor and ignorance has nothing to do with genetics either. Dumb ass slave.
