I dislike windy weather as a UC when I'm on carts. I feel its nicer then snow or rain by a long shot, but I am not looking forward to summer months. (Any tips for summer?)

Nights are also a little weird for me, being VI, when I do carts. I don't trust the orange vest as honestly when I tried it, traffic did not react to me in time at nights sometimes, so I switched it for using a Class 2 vest I have used before when out and about that I bring up to the FE with me from my locker (along with good grade steel toe shoe/boots when working on lot duty, worked in a warehouse b4, and let me tell you they will save or protect your feet should you be unfortunate and get hit on the feet with a pallet stacked or other weight) when ever I am feeling I might be on lot duty. I get seen better and faster wearing mine vs the orange crap vest, plus management doesn't care and actually is appreciative I'm trying to stay safe on the job, and partially because our store is connected to a few others, so people drive like idiots sometimes. (I feel most stores should require anyone on lot duty to wear a reflective if they so choose, as it does help, and has helped traffic see me to react quicker, especially if I am near a vehicle or darting around with carts if they suddenly throw it in reverse (why they do that as they see the line of carts passing their mirrors is beyond me, idiots.)

On another note, I am somewhat surprised at how busy it can be even when it's slow. Did trash and bag / cardboard trips about twenty times today, then checked the rest of the store just because and did a mini "sweep" and checked for hazards as I went, barely any at all but still. Sadly not many go backs today, but I still kept my day fun and busy even if it was slow. Did my usual "early morning nitpick" tonight though and went through each register aisle and checked em over for supplies needed n restocked em.

Busy day even for a 4 hour shift with some downtime.
