Management Harrassment?

There's a new co manager in our store and she is constantly checking my time and people in my department's t saying we weren't completing tasks when in fact we were. I'm a pricing coordinator and  we have ad changeover on Wednesday. I had an emergency and didnt  know what time I was coming in. The only task that needed to be done was a store walk (scanning the signs and making new signs) my taggers were completing their task. The co manager left me a voicemail and asked what was going on and that my department has not done a store walk in 3-4 days. That wasn't true, I have documents that we have.

her decision on Wednesday was to bring two outside people, they took my taggers tags and did a horrible store walk. That gave them OT. why would they take the tags if they were being completed?  They  messed up on signage and I had to do double the work. I told my main manager and he is on her side. She said that one of my taggers left early and she did not.

I don't know why this co manager is "picking" on my department when we are fine and get work done. I also don't appreciate the extra stress being pregnant and all. I don't appreciate them thinking my people aren't capable of doing their job and myself.

Should  i contact the district manager?

Real response here, no b.s. YES. You should continue to document, gather evidence, get witnesses, get their signatures on your documents, have other managers (where they're available) walk off your area/s and tasks.....and yes, go up the ladder. As high up and as fast as you need to move. Because, and I'm sorry, b ut YES, you ARE being focused on----for whatever reason.

The reason the focus is on OP is because she had an emergency, was late for work, and she is pregnant.  They are definately out to get her for whatever reason they have dreamed up.

Good advice though, get written statements if you can and document everything you can think of now and as you remember things write it down.  I used to have to keep a small notebook in my pocket at work to make notes in when I was being harassed.

Good luck OP, let us know how things work out.

We're not gonna argue here, so don't even try. This isn't about us any way. But those 'reasons' aren't reasons. They're bullsh!t. My point was to validate that hyes, she IS being harassed. Thanks for mirroring my exact advice, tho.

Well I guess we will just have to wait and see who is right.  At least I wished OP good luck.  If I wanted to argue with you I would do so, so don't even try to tell me I can't lol!

I'm sorry, I don't know who OP is. However thank you for the advice. I have documented everything so far and i have a feeling it's going to get worse.

I honestly don't know what ive done but I always work. If I wasn't doing a good job or completing tasks they need to let me know. This co manager seems shady.  there are other departments not doing their on or are in need of help. Why call outside help for me when i dont need it but they won't for other departments?

That is horrible :( I've been with the company over 10 years and have never had this problem.

What did the district manager do??

HR and Union told me to keep documents but it's to the point where I am terrified to go into work because I don't know what is going to happen

Kroger Corporate here.

The company thanks you all for your hard efforts at making us all more successful, every day; truly, without each of you, we would not be where we are right now.

However, there are some of you who just are not, as the saying goes, 'pulling your weight'. As a result of your concerning yourself only with your own needs and complaints, the team suffers....and Kroger cannot and WILL NOT have that. With all that stated, those of you on here complaining that you are being treated unfairly and are planning on any kind of retaliatory action, prepare yourselves to be terminated immediately from the Kroger company. That is all.

Have a good day.

Sincerely,

Kroger Human Resources

You are OP.  (Original Poster)  I still say it has something to do with your pregnancy.  They did something similar to this to a pregnant lady at my store who worked in the deli, she finally quit.  Next time you go to the doctor, get a doctors note saying you are perfectly healthy and able to perform your job functions.  Keep the original and give them a copy and smile!  Explain you have had no problem getting your work done in the past and are perfectly capable of doing your job, so they don't need to call in extra help.  You're making signs, not lifting heavy boxes!

I don't need the extra stress. My job is already stressful as it is.

I'm going to keep on working with my head down and do the best I can. I hope this doesn't continue.
