Pretty bad. Lets see, how best to sum it up? 16 hr. weeks if I'm lucky, full avail which means I'm all over the road schedule-wise, minimum wage, union dues and NO benefits. Ever.

Now for the job part itself: bagging groceries for bitchy un greatful people, getting called out to gather buggies ALL the damn time, no matter what the weather....and mopping up ****ty bath rooms. That's probably the worst. They're getting a 3-in-1 deal for the cost of .5 with this deal. I've had it. Wally is talking about making me a straight cashier---and the starting wage is $2./hr higher!

It's weird.  I shop at my Kroger and everyone is grumpy, refuse to say hello, stand around ignoring customers, etc.  I shop at Walmart and everyone is usually smiling, very helpful, even go out of their way to help you.  So.....minimum wage  at Kroger or more money at Walmart!

Well it depends which walmart and what there management team is like. I was with the co for almost 10 years, worked in 4 srores in the mid west and did everything from floor sales to store planning. Over all a good experience for me, but dont think walmart is some golden safe haven in retail. A lot of the criticism you hear about em is well earned.

A LOT.

The posters are two young courtesy clerks, working part time and thinking of changing jobs.  I doubt they are thinking of staying at Walmart for 10 years and building a career there.
