So far, I've accumulated eighty-hours (two weeks) of vacation time and one eight hour personal day after putting in five years at Kroger. I find it a little peculiar that I only had to work one year to get a week's vacation, and then, three years to get another week, but now I have to work another five years just to get a third week. Kroger seems to be kind of "quick" to hand out two weeks of vacation time after just three years, but then expects an employee to wait until the tenth year of service to get a third week. That's disappointing. I have to ask around and find out when I'll earn a second personal day too... hopefully that's not locked behind something like seven years of service, or something!
What about everyone else here? How much paid time off a year do the rest of you get?
Been with Kroger 8 years I get 2 weeks and 4 days personal . But that isn't Kroger that is union contract. Older contract people get 3 after I think 7 years but fewer personal days.
At my store, we get 1 after a year, 2 after 3 years, 3 after 7 years, 4 after 13 years, 5 after 20 years, and 6 after 25 years. Full timers get 5 personal days, idk about part time. I'm a courtesy clerk, and they get 2 personal days after 1 year, but they don't get any vacations until they receive 2 weeks after 5 years!
I get 2 weeks + 4 personal + 4 sick. It caps at 5 weeks after so many years, I forget. Only issue is it's use or lose vacation. You can only roll over something like 30 hours, and it cannot be payed out if you do not take it.
