Well...............I know I shouldn't be talking about this, but fk it. It's an anonymous forum where nobody uses their real names, right?

Any-hoo, pay rate? Push Me is $50./once, 40./twice and 25./4 times per hour. Pull Me has different rates depending on whether I'm bleeding that week and/or if the out breaks aren't under control (see? I gotta keep this confidential, I've already been busted and 'listed').

But at least I like the title, Grocery Manager. I mean there's worse things to describe tossing salad, am I right...? biggrin

It's about 20 bucks an hour where I'm at. If you know what your doing and know can and have a good freight crew it's extremely easy. There's about a 2% chance all of those things come together in this company though.

It is about $19/hr here.  I am the night manager at the same pay.  My crew is the freight crew.

It is worth it if everyone works together, Day grocery crew, Night grocery crew, natures market person, Drug GM crew and other departments.

As the above poster stated, there is a 2% chance of that happening.

With my store, The Day manager expects me to order and fill the ends.  We don't have time on the night schedule to do everything that needs to be done.  I focus on Run live stock, order, receive overnight deliveries and condition the store.  My crew has one day a week that we run all the backstock.  No one on days looks for stock for the replenishment report.  The weekly DDP gives 20 hours for replenishment so I claim those hours.  I spend almost an hour each night filling holes from ends and stuff I know is on the backstock carts.  But, when he orders for the ends, he orders a pallet too much and then I have to make it go away.  Finally got rid of the pasta from 5 months ago.  Sometimes shippers will sit on the back dock for over a month.  I can see it is a shipper even tho the shelf is empty and keep hesitating to order it even tho it is a bad ass sales price.  But, when I do order it after waiting 2 weeks after the sale, someone decides to dig shipper out of backroom and run the stupid shipper.

He has 3 part timers on days getting grocery hours.  They don't benefit the grocery department very often.  In a 5 hour shift, they might run gallons of water.  I have no idea what they do the other 4 hours.  They usually don't run it on days that it is empty and I don't have time to run it overnight.  When they run any live stock, they usually run paper towels and toilet paper items.  That's great but It should only take about 1.5 hours to run all of it not a third of it.  And they put a huge box with one item on the overflowing backstock cart.  It would be nice if someone would try to run backstock on days.

When we sort kmp, we miss a few grocery items and send them with the natures market product that we sorted out.  Sometimes I will find it in damage or on random wrong aisle backstock uboats or on the floor next to the bathroom walls or with new items or thrown on the racks above the backstock uboats.  Same with Drug/GM except they only get about 10 of our products mixed with their pallets.  It would be nice if they would put the products in the same place everytime so I know where to find them.  Or, dare I say run the case!

It is worth it to me.  I work around what the other departments do and get my **** done.

18-19 an hour here depending on store volume. Like others said, a good crew and it's easy mode, not so good crew and your life will be hell because they want the hours cut to a minimum, and if you have a crew that isn't capable of getting the work done, the pressure will be on you to pick up the slack.
