Is there a specific number of times an employee is allowed to call in sick?

I think it's like 20 times a year unless you've had 4--6 write ups. Then you can only do it 12 times, but that drops off after 4 months if there've been no more write ups

I'm still tryna figure out why people even apply for jobs if the first thing they wanna know is how much they can stay away

I have a friend who just put in an app... wanted me to put a good word in for her... honestly i'm not going to, it sounds terrible but i'm not going to do anything that will reflect poorly on me when the last job she had, she got fired within 2 weeks because she called off like half the days she was scheduled. -_-

Sick calls when on probation used to be result in immediate termination, but with being so short staffed they'll take it.  We had a new hire (not even a full week) not come back from lunch, showed up the next day with some excuse and kept his job.  Thankfully my department manager had a cow and they moved him to the front end, but the only thing your friend has to worry is passing the background and drug test.  We had one new hire last summer who is still working and she called in a bunch during probation.
