There are no hours enough for a lead. I am a regular clerk with some lead work(which is BS) such as ordering and staying on top with the CAO. I work 22 hours a week with 4 to 4.5 hours shifts Saturdays and Sundays and every other day during the week.
What would be some tips on a daily to TRY and make it work. I'm trying not to think its impossible. So far I've came up with Working dairy first thing in the morning since it is a fast mover. Scanning backstock weekly now that I took the initiative on learning that from the gun, thnkx to the forums here. Also checking for MARKDOWNS daily.
What department are you scheduled for? I think you are the Nutrition OP that just started?
You might be the only person there during the order open window. It is good to learn how to order and stay on top of CAO BOHs. It will be useful experience later on if you plan to make a career out of Kroger.
We have a full time Nutrition Lead and I think he gets some help from produce. 600k-700k a week store.
You are being asked to do too much if you are the only person running the department on those hours.
Accept the challenge and keep trying. Refine your techniques and figure out where you can cut corners(not recommended but sometimes we have no choice). I think you are doing well if you are already making decisions on how to make it work and staying positive.
I have only helped Nutrition a few times so not sure where you can cut corners or how to make your situation work.
