what's up with deli grab & go

I don't know about other stores, but for the past couple of months, I've had customers thinking we fill the grab & go with leftovers form the day before.  When I inform customers about the grab&go so they don't have to wait, they respond with " I don't want yesterday's leftovers, I want my stuff fresh sliced".  When we tell them it's sliced fresh EVERY DAY", the don't believe it.  When customers see me filling the grab & go case, they remark that they will not buy the product because they think it is all leftovers.    Anyone else have this happen?

Also, I heard a rumor that Boar's Head wants us to use their product in the grab & go also.  Just curious if anyone else has heard this.

Customers are idiots.  Our bags say "fresh sliced daily" so thankfully we haven't had too many problems with morons, but occasionally we get people asking us to mark down meat we just cut an hour ago.  Some guy made up an imaginary rule that we mark down all the grab and go meat at 6pm when that was never a rule in our store and he got mad when we wouldn't honor it because we just cut it for the evening rush. (The stuff we cut in the morning is usually long gone by 4pm)

As for Boar's Head I'd be surprised, since they seemed really adamant about us not putting boar's head meat in the grab and go when we first got them.

I know it's not "yesterday's leftovers" but doesn't it have a shorter shelf life even though it's cut from the exact same slab of meat?
