Anyone here absolutely feel rage towards favoritism and/or buddy buddy-ism at the work place? I absolutely rage at it. Because no matter how sloppy a "favorited" person works or how terrible their "leadership" quality is, their faults and negativity will always be overlooked. But their "great personality" will always adhere to the other person's interest, thus, continuing to suck that person's  d*ck and excusing their every fault. And those same people plot on trying to get you fired becuase you dont quite 'click' with them and the crew. This is the absolute cancer at every single f*cking workplace imaginable. Why isn't there a punishable death penalty for this??

But YOU..... you may be "the quiet one" who sticks to doing their task (and doing it quite f*cking well) but don't quite have much of a great personality. However, YOU will always be overlooked and undermined because of this. Why?? Due to the fact that you do not have such a "great personality". I seriously hate this planet for the fact that it is completely dominated by extroverts. It seems as if there is no escape from this madness other than moving to a remote desert and hoping for the best, or simply death. GAAAAAAHHHHHHHH......

You missed a spot.  ;)

So, what department do you work in?  You don't seem too introvert.

Do you have an example of what you are describing?

I learned a valuable lesson - I believe my mama was the one who said it -a few years back b/c I to was in rage over 'favoritism'. Moms can be very insightful and be true prophetic sage when you least expect it (cept for a lot of the trailer trash / ghetto moms who couldn't give advice to even a banana & you all know the kind of moms I am talking about).  When I was much younger and more naïve, I would work my retail job day in / day out and see all those kiss ass blow hards f'ing around all day getting absolutely nothing done and even somehow being more unproductive then productive while there.  I would be busting my ass off doing my job to the best of my capability while they dicked around.  Then I would leave and go to my mom's house for her hot spaghetti & meatball dinner w/ garlic toast and I would just sit there at the dinner table barfing out my frustrations with work as I drank a whole bottle of Gallo wine. Then my good ol' sweet maam's would find the perfect opening to interject the best, most truest wisdom.  She's definitely knows her sh+t.  Thanks mom for changing my attitude around about workplace favoritism and giving me a whole new outlook on it.  Your the best!

lol,

What was the wisdom?

Were you old enough to drink that wine?

My Lawyer uncle said, "Lead, follow or get the hell out of the way."

There will always be leaders, followers and others in the way.  I choose to do my best and ignore the slackers around me.  I know they won't get far in life.
