I have a dental appointment tomorrow and I put the request in about a month ago. I'll be damned if they STILL put me on the schedule to work at the time my appointment is. what I'm thinking about doing is not showing up for work and going to my dental appointment. (They do NOT need to know what kind of work the dentist is doing).

when i do this and bring in a note stating I was in fact at the dentist, will that suprecede ANY write up or SIR they TRY to give me? Because I'm not signing ANY damn write up or s.i.r..

You still need to call in tomorrow, tell them you have an appointment and cannot make it in. If you don't call, you will no call no show and that will override any note i bet.

Just call in, and if they complain, oh well.

When you put in the request did you say it was for a dental appointment in the comments section?

Yes I did. It's either A) they don't care

                             B) they can't (won't) read

                             C) they THINK work is more important than dental

                             D) all of the above

this is ridiculous. I am NOT changing my appointment to make it convienent for them.

well now you've waited too late to cancel any appointment (without causing a possible inconvenience for the office).  How long have you known you were scheduled to work?  I'd imagine they wouldn't have scheduled you to work if they had someone else to do whatever job you do, so it sounds like they really need you.  Either way one side is not going to be happy.  Maybe call your dentist and see if they have an earlier or later slot tomorrow instead

How come the original post is under the name Anonymoose but your response to the question is under the name Anonymously?  Is it the same person or is someone answering for someone else?

It's me Anonymoose. Damn autocorrect decided it wanted to kick in and keep correcting itself and I was getting pissed. So I just left it be. I do NOT feel as if I should not feel as if I have to change my appointment. They CAN do without me for the day. if by some RARE occurance I change my mind I'll just put down "major" dental work and see where it goes. Kroger has no need to know what kind of dental work I have done.
