Sticking up for Kroger's
Permalink

The Kroger's I work at has gone above and beyond for a young lady that lost her husband suddenly few days before Christmas, she was paid for her up to 3 days, but our store as well as our whole District collected donations for her a her family, so she could have more time off and not have to worry about whether or not to come back to work after the days, as well as we all pulled together and made sure she and her kids had food brought to them donated by Kroger's, she was told she could take as much time as she needed, her job would be there for her, just as she left it. This is only one of the out of the kindness of their hearts, Kroger's has done, they've help so many in our District.

I wish Kroger did things like this more often! Here in KY, she would've been suspended pending on day 4! What state are you in?

Wow, that truly is wonderful of them. And I'm with the other poster, what state are you in? Truly need a shout out more often for that district for sure.

That's great. I'm luckier than I've seen many people on this forum, I work nightstock at a 24hr store so I have less exposure to management than most-but they always come and find me in the morning, ask me how things went etc.

When my mom died, they were really supportive, and I had to travel out of state. It was more than I expected out of a company.

My store was really supportive of me when I was going through a rough patch last year. Not only did they help me find the help that I needed, but they also helped cover some of the hospital expenses. That is what makes Kroger a great company to work for.
