Why don't you ask one of them? I can't imagine them watching the monitors all the time. They probably watch them when someone they suspect might be a shoplifter is in the store. They also probably watch them when they suspect an employee is stealing from the store. The thing is you never know when someone is watching you.
They can dial in and watch. They also roam the store incognito. I miss my old store's LP person. She was awesome. Management do camera reviews. They'll look if they hear anything suspicious or something pops up on a report.
Kroger employees are allowed to do "nothing" in the case of stealing.I work at a store with loss prevention and they barely watch the cameras.Once in a while they might happen by but the most they can do is screen shot, description of person and fill out paperwork and send it off to corporate loss prevention. The ethicalness of customers to grocery store has made me so sick I will never again trust human nature. The make it right program is actually encouraging theft because we have to be a "yes" answering solider to everything.
