I  find it rude these  people will empty my shelves and leave nothing for other customers. Kroger needs to Adopt a New Coupon Policy and ENFORCE up on the front.

I work at Ralphs and we have a stricter policy. You can use no more than 3 coupons that are the same. We strictly enforce expiration dates. There is no Customer first on this. The computer actually rejects any more than 3 on the same coupons.

At my Kroger, I've seen cashiers give bypass on expiration dates.

It's ridiculous. Same f-cking customers too every week. It's not like they just made an honest mistake and found an old, expired coupon somewhere lost in their house, but they come to the register every week with a cart or even 2 carts worth of sh-t that they have millions of coupons for that some aren't even valid anymore but get away with it because it is Customer 1st. :)

We're told to ignore coupon expiration dates on Kroger coupons. Those apparently "never expire".

We're also told to never tell a customer no at the register (and elsewhere in the store) and instead use the Make It Right stickers/option on the register to "fix it" so that the customer doesn't leave angry. So, if a coupon won't scan for whatever reason (even if it's expired, for the wrong item and so on), we're supposed to price adjust the item in place of the coupon through the Make It Right program.

Arguing with extreme couponers will leave you needing therapy because even if 99 out of 100 coupons scan just fine, if only one gets rejected by the register, they will act like you're literally reaching over the register and robbing them of their money.

I'm so glad I don't surge check anymore because that means I don't have to deal with these self-entitled, arrogant and flat out rude people. Thank goodness that stress and aggravation is gone from my life!

Cashiers are NOT allowed to bypass coupon expiration dates. Kroger will NOT be reimbursed for this. This is NOT Office Depot where we were forced to accept coupons that sometimes expired 2 and 3 years ago!!!

It appears to me that different stores handle this differently. Both stores I have worked at accept Store Coupons past expiration dates. Recently one of my floor managers explained to a customer of mine that they generally try to keep it reasonable, within the past month or two(This customer had given me a store coupon that expired in 2014?), as stores tend to reuse old coupon codes.
Regardless, both stores have and do bypass Store Coupons, the only coupons that I have seen treated any differently (other than expired manufacturers not being accepted) are the extremely old coupons where I was instructed to put them in as manufacturer coupons.
