Switching to safety razors.

Thought I'd like to make a public service announcement.

I have decided to switch over to safety razors and ditch the disposable razor monopoly scam. You guys know that disposable razors are so expensive, and part of the reason is because of marketing. In 2011, Gillette spent $146 million on media advertisement and $800 million worldwide. In addition, they must have spent a fortune on the Gillette stadium name. Now that the sham has been exposed to you, I will tell you about the safety razor. I just bought a razor blade handle for $11 bucks which comes with 20 replacement razors. A pack of 100-200 will cost around 7-15 dollars. Compare that to the Gillette Fusion Manual Mens Razor Blade Refills-12 count for 33 dollars.

I would have switched much earlier had I have known this beforehand. Hopefully you guys have become #woke from the brainwashing that the corporate elites have instilled into you. I just want you guys to know that you DO a have a choice, this is America.

I cannot for the life of me understand why ANY MAN who has any sense would waste so much money on disposable razor blades!!!!!  (It's insance. 33 dollars for 12-pack???  And I've heard that some 'fancy' razors / blades are much, much more.

I buy the cheapest, 'generic' pack of disposable plastic razors you can buy.........usually 8 or 10 or 12 or whatever per pack (I forget the brand name, cause I just pick the cheapest) usually the pack will be somewhere between 3 and 7 dollars. Lasts me for about 2 to 3 months with no problem, and I get a good, close shave. Some men don't know how to shave properly so they think you can only use a blade once, and throw it away.  I take a shower first (so my face gets lots of pre-moistening) lather up with plenty of whipped cream-type shaving cream, and don't have any problems.

However I will admit that maybe some guys with really thick, heavy beards have more problems getting a close shave and their razors don't last as long.

I have tried the generic razors.  They last me about 3 - 5 shaves.  Also, I usually nick myself with the cheap ones.  I hate razor cuts under my nose!  I will spend the extra money to avoid them.
