Have I been fired? Everyone else in the department has alot more hours that week. It's a miserable department anyways, so much stocking and so much cleaning, dept manager is one of the worst people i've ever worked for and the last guy in my spot moved to courtesy clerk because he hated it. supposedly manager came in and took pictures of a really bad close when i was really swamped that day. so much **** they cram into a few hours. and for minimum wage i'd rather work fast food or something else.
The bigger question is will this result in a SIR and probably being blacklisted from working there?
Ask another associate if they have hours the week you have 0. If they do, ask to speak to the Store Manager and be the one that starts the conversation (So you can be ALPHA dog and lead the chat). Tell them the issue and either move departments or resign....
I don't really care if I'm fired tbh, it's just a minimum wage job. I could have a lower stress job at taco bell lol. if they are moving me to courtesy clerk, which i was told they do to people who can't keep up, then i will resign because there's no way in hell i'm gonna be out in the july heat getting carts lol.
