I don't know how unless they have a lot f children or independents in their home. I wasn't illegible when I was getting half of what I get working for Kroger. I only get minimum wage working for Kroger and all it does is pay my bills.

No idea, and don't really care as it's not my biz.

A rough guess would be at least half. I haven't actually done research, nor will I.

Many.  Krogrr literally pays welfare wages.

In the Dallas Division, I'd guess most non-department-head associates under four years on the wage scale could income-qualify for food assistance.

Pretty sad and irresponsible of this 100-billion-dollar-a-year corporation, isn't it.

Maximum monthly income limits

The following chart gives a general idea of the amount of money (income) most people or families can get and still be in this program.

Maximum monthly income limits
Family sizeMonthly amount
of income allowed
1$1,634
2$2,203
3$2,772
4$3,342

Pretty much everyone over the age of 25 who isn't some kind of manager or department head.  Unless they have kids.  Then them too.

One of our maintenance guys is right at the limit, so he has to give away shifts occasionally in order to maintain his various benefits.

Why should Krogrr pay living wages when it can pay welfare wages, then have Uncle Sam/the taxpayers pick up the tab for the difference? It isn't as though the company benefits from any public infrastructure (say, roads over which its 18-wheelers roll, for example), so why would it want to be a responsible corporate citizen and create consumers rather than paupers?
