So yesterday, I was tasked with helping out in the chicken shop. Which I've done only once before in regards to the packaging. Welp, the other day I did some more packaging, cooked my first set of ribs ever and even some fried chicken and unbreaded chicken as well(cooking the chicken kind of scared me ****less, I will not lie as I will be honest, I was going in and out of a light doze watching those vids(totally didn't mean to, busy as hell day and sitting down even for a nanosecond had the sleep coming over me rather quickly) when they said I would be getting trained on it that day. And mind you, this was a few weeks back between me seeing those vids and actually working with any of the actual product. Or anyone to really show me what was what.) Even the broccoli for the dinner case.

There was also talk going on with the deli back up and the two women that already work back in the chicken shop getting more help. And possibly me being one of the peeps to do that. Because I have thus far helped them with packaging and as I foolishly said I don't mind helping them out from time to time. And so the deli back up was like, "great, I want to try and get 5 people back here to work the chicken shop".

To which is a great idea and don't disagree with it really. My only thing is, that they take for granted how much I actually know about being over there from the few times I packaged stuff. I mean the one chick that told me to do a 8 piece of fried chicken and the unbreaded chicken just said I could do it up real quick. Cause in her opinion I know so much already. Even how to do the CAP report. Which technically I do know to do one. But that was for BAKERY and not chicken related. Even if she did say it's the same as the way we'd do it for baking stuff. But I never even did it for then either!

I say all this, because I think I shot myself in the foot or stepped in a massive pile of Kroger elephant poo by even saying I don't mind helping out. Cause no doubt peeps are going to at some point real soon no doubt, expect me to be back in chicken shop a lot more than I have been. And will most likely have me closing it by myself as well too eventually. And I don't even know all of the times of when **** goes out on the floor, how much you need to make. Where to find half their supplies and what not. But I'd just be a superb candidate for the chicken team. The other aspect is if that happens I'll most likely have no variation in work or breaks again either, if I'm solely chicken some days and closing bakery others. I'm going to be seriously ****ed. >_<
