Have you folks ever had occurrences where you find yourself bumping into the same person at work... no matter which corner you turned, no matter which hallway you walk down, no matter how random of a time you go to bail your cardboard or go pee, etc? I swear this keeps happening to me at my job. Especially when trying my best to avoid this person - BAM, there they are walking in the opposite direction from me, BAM - there they are heading to the backroom with me. Is this occurrence common? Is this a term for this kind of event? Or is it just "merely a coincidence" as some would say? I highly annoyed at this... like wtf.

yes, and this thing happens to me a lot. however I think it is just the way things work........we all have our respective jobs to do, and even working in a fairly large store, we can't help bumping into one another quite often.

It happens all the time. No matter what route I take I seem to always run into the same person. The funny thing is I think we're both trying to avoid each other and we whined up running into each other, instead.

I thought it was just me as well! Most especially when it comes down to this one produce dude. That is much younger than myself and he would often tell me to smile. And then it escalated to me "flirting" with him. And how his girlfriend is 19. And then even one time he called *me* creepy when we were both back in the back dumping trash.
It is uber strange to me, as I don't know this dude from atom. But he always had something to say. I'm glad when he sees me now he doesn't really say anything(I haven't reported him or anything as I'm not that stressed by the dude in the first place). But even still if I have to go back to his area to get some veggies or fruit for party tray orders he always seems to try and say something to get a rise/response out of me.
And it's like dude, "I find you as strange as the other produce peeps in here. So no way in the world am I amused by you." Quit popping up about everywhere I go!
Yep, I have the same thing happen to me at my job. I keep running into a particular associate from another dept. When I come in to work, he's walking towards me in the opposite direction from the break room, when he's leaving, I happen to be standing in the same path as him. We just smile at each other, and occasionally strike up interesting conversation.
Oh yes...You're not the only one...Every so often, I'll see the same person over and over walking the hallways and say to that person, "Don't you ever WORK???"
