Even without knowing what it is, I can already tell you with almost 100% certainty that it involves more work without any additional hours/help to compensate for the new job task(s). I know this because it's The Kroger Way.
sounds like being friendly which is already a part of friendly and fresh but it also sounds like make it right. Either way, its just another dumb ass method they try to push on us. They say "being nice and saying hi is free." as if that is supposed to motivate us. Yeah, its free for them. We dont get paid to say hi to customers.
Well its funny, there is correlation between Friendly, Hospitality and Customer Satisfaction. If you look at the demise of retailers, you see stores with less and less staffing, stores being consistently out of product and unclean/untidy stores. Well I do not think Kroger is going out of business any time soon, there are are major areas that lack guidance or too many areas are being focuses on at once.
When you have 5 different Corp Departments telling 1 Store Department that they should be doing.....
Shrink
ELMS
Department Best Practices
Safety/Food Safety
Customer Experience
Most of the times the processes clash..... remember be Friendly, Fast and Repeat...by yourself
PULEEAASSEE don't tell me Kroger is gonna go into the "HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY" ? Otherwise known as the Hotel/Motel/Inn industry. Of course I'm joking, but since Kroger seems to think they want to be "everything to everybody", and take over other types of business besides GROCERIES, it wouldn't surprise me if they did want to expand into the Hotel market!
Well, if want to be more "High End" maybe we should change how we hire? Just because someone applies, can pass a background check and isn't on drugs doesn't mean we should hire them! Also, maybe we should actually have a week class where people learn what "Hospitality" is, without them just seeing a video or taking a ACT.
