Okay so I was suspended on my first no call no show/ the only day of work I have properly missed since I was hired 3 years ago and when I asked why I wasn't getting a write up instead they said they were following the handbook (which they conviently didn't have when I asked) and I've never heard of this happening at our store before. Also they are trying to suspend me for missing a day of work that was added to the schedule after it was posted and didn't notify me or even ask if I could work it. I'm fairly certain this is class A bull**** and was wanting opinions and possible handbook verification. I'm in the delta division if that helps.

Call your Union! They have to write you up and give you warning before suspension! All contracts are different. For a No call no show they might be able to consider that as quitting, but if you called and they denied your call in, that is what you take to the Union. I will say it sounds unfair! We have people who call in all the time, are late all the time and sometimes don't even bother to call and still nothing gets done to them. I'm waiting for them to pull something like this on me.
Always refuse to sign any paperwork, especially a suspension.
Call union asap.
If you know of other people calling in but not being suspended, tell the union rep. Have facts they can work with. They can search attendance and time clock records and have attendance reset if they are caught treating you differently than other employees.
The schedule at most stores needs to be posted by Saturday at noon. Your division might be different. Take a picture of the posted schedule. It will have a time stamp and you can grieve any changes made after noon.
Likely so. It is likely management noncompliance with "progressive" discipline, i.e., one step at a time and not skipping any because they are mad or don't like someone.
That's why you need 1) a copy of your contract, and 2) to contact your local union immediately, since there are often short time limits to initiate an appeal/grievance.
