My first immediate question is this. If a coupon scans successfully without asking for a manager override, does that mean the coupon is valid for the order?
Generally yes but be sure to read the coupons. I've had to turn down a few couponers that had coupons that did not allow for more than 2 to be used on a transaction. For example customer wanted to buy 6 shampoos with three 'buy one get one' coupons. i could only accept 2 coupons so the customer bought four shampoos.
No. I had a customer give me $1 coupons for anything in the store.. she had like 20, but they all said WALGREENS ONLY. It still scanned. I told her sorry but no
It MUST be for the EXACT items and MUST be for the store in which they are purchasing items. i.e. item MUST be on a Kroger coupon. EVEN IF it's the same item from a different store, and EVEN IF the coupon STILL scans.
You should NOT cash out a coupon from another store.
No. Coupons often work for all the items in the product family. This is what extreme couponing is all about. Extreme couponing these days is mostly coupon fraud.
Read the type, size, and quantity restrictions on the coupon, and know the store rules on coupons.
