At what point is it appropriate is to ask for a raise? Or am I just gonna be given the runaround about how I should just work my hours, or go help another store on my nights off, or blah blah blah?

It goes by hours worked.

It all depends on if your store in under a union contract.  If you are, then there is nothing that you can do about "asking" for a raise.  Your only option is to become a department lead, manager, or back-up.  Under most union contracts, you are required to work a certain number of weeks/months before getting each raise.  You can check how much time you have left before your next raise at ess.kroger.com
