So.......what is the scoop? Did the store close down as scheduled last week? IS every thing now Hunky Dorey? I understand this was the McMahan store.........is that true? Was the backroom straightened up, and is the backstock under control? Are there enough employees to take care of business and get the stock out on the store shelves?
How this is gonna help in the long run is beyond me..............isn't the same Train Wreck going to keep happening over and over?
I know it closed for a day or so except for the pharmacy I believe. Most everything was stocked and straightened up but obviously it won't last if the underlying problems that caused them to close it in the first place are not addressed. I've been with Kroger for 10+ years now in the Louisville division and to the best of my knowledge I've never heard of a store closing solely because they can't keep the shelves stocked.
I was in there recently and I can tell things are already slipping. For some reason, they're having trouble keeping sugar fully stocked. They had just a single row of Kroger sugar and Domino sugar on the bottom shelf while the rest of the skelf was empty. Also, I intended to buy Rice Krispies but they were completely sold out. They were on sale but they were out of every size, not just the ones that were on sale. I really think the problem started when they did this last remodel and chopped up the store from 32 aisles to 50 aisles. Whoever designed it really screwed up. Nothing makes sense the way they have it. practically all the food items are on the back half of the store. The front half holds things like sodas, potato chips and other snacks, beer, cleaning supplies, food storage containers and things like aluminum foil and Saran wrap. The back half has your canned goods, your soups, your cereals, your beans and rice, your baking needs, your condiments and dressings, etc.

I'm guessing they're stocking crew is extremely understaffed, even with a messed up remodel I wouldn't think you'd need to close the store down just to restock shelves.
