I make more money than my coworker who's been with Kroger for 7 years. I wonder if I should tell him this. Of course we're non union, so Kroger definitely doesn't have to increase his pay.
People who've been with the company for 5+ years and never aspired to be a DH or even full time obviously don't care that new hires make more money than them. It's actually pretty common to run into employees who've been with Kroger for 7, 10, 12 years and are completely satisfied with $11.65/hr and only getting ~30 hours a week. They choose to do nothing about it, considering how many lead and asst. lead positions come open every week.
