I'm using the Global Cash card since I have no bank account and would rather not work with physical currency since most everything is digital nowadays.  I just recently got it and had it activated, but it only came in AFTER I was supposed to be paid for my first week of work - after activating it, I noticed I have zero funds in my account.

Do you get paid for the first week you work, or is it withheld?  I would VERY MUCH like to have my money now since I have a 75 dollar medical bill I need to pay for a doctor's visit I couldn't afford so I didn't get fired for having the flu.  Also, eating today would be nice.

EDIT: Found it.  First paycheck is essentially a bi-weekly, then you get paid every week thereafter.  I started on a Friday (the day after I was interviewed) so I could work through the weekend, mistakenly believing that I would get paid the next Thursday as a result, too.  Looks like I was wrong.  Well.  Guess I'm not eating today.

If a delayed paycheck causes you not to eat then you have larger problems.

And now I haven't been paid enough. I missed a few days so I only worked 4 days my first week and 2 days my second. I get that my 2nd week won't be counted for, but on my first (if I'd made minimum wage) I should have made over 220 dollars (not counting income tax, after tax it'd be around 190-200) but I was only given 113 dollars. I know I don't make minimum wage, I make 8.00 an hour. Gonna have to take this to the higher-ups.

No ****, I live paycheck to paycheck like most lower class Americans do nowadays. I stretch the money as far as I can, but between getting screwed out of house and home and getting screwed out of money I worked to earn, living is difficult.
