Or does that depend on the reason they were fired?

Because a friend of mine was fired from Kroger and she told me they won't let her come back for a year. At least, that's what she told me.

If you're fired by someone, it means they don't want you working for them.  Why would they hire you back?

I saw a kid once that was fired for taking excessively long breaks. And then two months later, they were rehired.

Depends on why they were fired.

If the reason is bad, they will get a "do not rehire" flag on their social security number.  Theft, fighting, hitting manager or coworker.

It depends on the manager if they rehire a person and when.  Each store and manager is different.
