Moving from cashier to another dept

Im currently a Cashier for Kroger but I'm not enjoying it, originally I wanted to work in produce or dairy but there were no jobs in that area. Now a job has come up after one of the guys suddenly quit. I know since I'm trained on front end of I were to move departments I would be called to help with cashier service like half the time.

Has anyone els moved from front end to another department do you enjoy it more?

Every department is different, as long as your ok with lifting and or coldness....its all the same.

Are you a good cashier?  Is your front end having trouble retaining cashiers?

If you are a good employee and the front end is having problems, they might not let you switch.
