Deducting Union Dues?

How do I go about doing this? Trying to use via turbo tax but if I have to I'll write it out in a long form, because as of now my refund is 723 dollars but that seems a bit wrong considering I pay $369.20 in union dues a year.

From H&R Block... "You can deduct union dues as a miscellaneous itemized deduction. Theyre subject to 2% of your adjusted gross income (AGI) on your Schedule A, Line 21."

You can only deduct union dues if you itemized all your deductions and not take the standard deduction. Most people dont itemize because the standard gives them more of a discount.

This. I tried to use mine to file my taxes and Turbo Tax said I got more on standard than itemized. Which is frustrating since I'm paying a good chunk of cash every year.

If you contribute to the 401(k) plan you can deduct more.
