How much trouble am I in?

I scanned my plus card for another employee who was buying something on their break, without thinking about it, while I was on the clock.

you're not in trouble until someone comes and tells you you're in trouble.

don't do it again if it keeps happening it will flag in the system and loss prevention will look into to it .

using your kroger card for other people is a fireable offence that you can be fired for without being written up for first.

Yeah, I guess I've rarely ever had another employee ask me to scan my card for them. Other customers, of course, I would have said no. But in my subconscious, I guess I quickly thought, it's another employee, so it's gotta be alright.

Well, I've learned now, I'm gonna wipe that out of my subconscious. I should have known better, I should have been thinking faster.

How long do they wait till they come up to you and say you're in trouble? A couple days? A week? 2 weeks?

Your not in trouble, just don't do it again. Unless they get a random tip they are not going to know what happened and If they do they will just talk to you.

No. Anyone in your household can use your card. I dont know to the extent they research its usage though. I let my grandmother and sister use it, and I dont live with them. for all Kroger knows, I could.

Wrong. If it's not a spouse or child or other dependent, you cannot let them use your card.

My wife was working at Kroger when I was hired.  I  was told not to even let my wife use my card, and that we each had to have our own card.  I was told that upper management and corporate watches card usage and we were caught using each other's card, we would be fired for theft.

If you do let someone else use your card, just make sure they pay with cash.  Cash can't be traced.

If that was true and upper management watched that then I would be in trouble. My daughter uses me card for fuel all the time (without my permission). All they need is your phone number/alt Id or use your mailing address when they get a card.

I was getting my fuel points used up by someone else using my phone number. Supposedly nobody could trace who was doing it. I just requested a new card and didn't use a phone number.
