Aside from a lot of customers griping about how we're gonna lose so many jobs (yes, it does mean hours cut despite Kroger's propaganda, they didn't invest money into this for giggles, but let us worry about that), the launch itself has gone surprisingly smooth. A few of the hundred or so handhelds have broken, there's maybe one or two small technical glitches a day (customer's order needing to be transferred to another device), but it's been really good. I've given it a few tries and love it, you can literally scan everything through your phone, bag as you go, pay on your phone, and skip the checkout line altogether.
