I have a ? I started working at kroger on 1/19/2018 And have been working there until 4/19/2018 which made my 90 days and made me part of the union and have since been suspended because my background check just come back and I had 2 misdemeanors on it (which were nothibg that bad) but the background company said my report was done in Feb but they don't know why it took so long for me or kroger to get it so I wanna know is there anything I can do about it since I been working for 3 months and just become union. Drug test was all negative and I also never called in and I covered any shift that I was asked to even though people below me was always scheduled more hours than me and yes my availabiity is open but I just always let that go cause I usually got OT just by covering shifts of everybody calling off work. Also the misdemeanors were from 2010 and i didn' think they went back that far

Excuse me but both were misdemeanors that were terminated off my record because they were not bad charges ( traffic violations to be exact) and yes I blame the background check company for taking 3 months to send it back and I also notified my employer about any trouble I've ever been in so unless you have something to help my question with then don't comment stupid answers. And actually my report went to HR and I've since got it taken care of and oh GOT MY JOB BACK WITH BACK PAY FOR THE DAYS I MISSED!!! THANK YOU

That is good news. Glad someone decided the background check was over cautious.
People have been hired, worked for a few months and then terminated because the background check came in bad. Theft and murder are the worst crimes a person can do. It is good to be honest and upfront and take your chances.
Good luck.

If you were honest, and that was all that was on your record, i'm glad they kept you.
I know someone who worked for Kroger for several years, even became a department head, all while having a felony record. The company knew this, they were very forthcoming and honest about the whole thing so it was never a problem for the company.
