So I've been a Kroger employee for quite a while now and I feel like I've seen my fair share of screwups at my store, but this latest one takes the cake. An office worker is dating one of our CS managers and she has been acting like she is a CS manager herself. She's even denied workers the right to go to the bathroom and has threatened them with write-ups if they went. She has NO AUTHORITY to do that, but doesn't care. Today at work, she got snotty with me, so I get snotty at her and I swear, for the next hour, she stared a hole in my head.
This child (can't even call her a woman because that would be too kind) loses her temper at the smallest thing, hates her job and overall has a poor attitude when she's at the workplace. Yet, because she's friends with our head CS manager, she gets to get away with this behavior with little to no disciplinary actions. I fear that she will use her CS Manager boyfriend to take disciplinary action against me for standing up for myself.
Write a log of everything you can remember. She is creating a hostile work environment and their relationship is tying everyones hands. Once you write the log (careful to only list observations and not emotions) you need to get in contact with your district HR. If your district HR doesnt help, hopefully you have a union and they will.

Employees are not allowed to date if one of them has some sort of authority over the other. Either the office worker or the CS manager will have to move to another store.
