Why would you want to put hundreds of people out of work? You may not like Kroger but like all businesses, they provide jobs for people who need them. Those people then in turn spend their their money at businesses that employ other people. Those people then spend their money at other places and so on. When a business closes, it affects everybody.
He talks about Kroger, but his real beef and concern should be with Wal-Mart and all these dollar stores moving in to these small towns and wiping out all the mom-and-pop shops!

The demand for groceries doesn't go away. The provider would get replaced with a different grocery provider -- Walmart, etc.
There MUST be a time period of employment change (transition to a different provider) in order to get rid of the cancer (Kroger).

Maybe you should find another community. It's not ganna happen Kroger is not going anywhere. You cannot force a business out. I have heard of stores closing because so many in the community did not support the union. But that has not happened in a long time.

Exactly what did Kroger do to you to make you feel this way? Did they catch you shoplifting? Did they refuse to mark down something that was still in date? Did they refuse to let you use multiple coupons on the same item? Did they not kiss your ass as you entered the store and then kiss it on the way out? If you're a former employee, did they let you go because you never showed up and when you did, you were always late or you were lazy and didn't do your job? Usually when someone hates Kroger that much, It's because of something they did that Kroger didn't let them get away with.

You have to be a special person wanting to hurt so many people because of your own personal grudge against a company.
I agree that not shopping there is really the only way to go. I want to stop supporting Kroger and Walmart but continue to shop both out of convenience and lack of other options.
Compete with them. They hate that. They dream of bringing back slavery in a monopoly in a food desert. Work elsewhere, spend your money elsewhere and spread the word.
Federal Trade Commission needs your input regarding the proposed merger with Albertsons. When the company breaks the law, develop evidence without anyone knowing and give it to the appropriate agency. Don't tell them who you are.
