She's a deli worker and pretty much likes her job but she has been harassed by her deli manager and the store manager. Recently her deli boss asked her to co-sign a car loan, and she almost did it until i talked her out of it, since she refused she has been treated absolute crap by this woman. The deli boss and the store manager both hang out in the office all day long and I would think the deli boss has to maybe be out helping on the floor? They both will get right up in her face and actually scream, sometime in front of customers. While she was on a week long vacation they changed the hours of the shifts, and corporate did not do this.  Then she had to choose between a job in the deli that's start time time is 4 am, 4 hrs before her regular scheduled start time and some kind of midnight shift.  This woman is a very attractive 60 years old and very petite, and in awesome shape on the outside and my only thoughts are that the 2 bosses are jealous of her or maybe they got word from someone in a  upper management position to try to get her to do something to get fired and lose her pension??? This woman has been my friend for over 50 years and she talks about her job all the time and just over the last year she is not happy at all in her job and the stories of hostility had started and continue to get worse. She has complained to the union to no avail, complained to the hr rep to no avail, I guess this hr rep is a very soft spoken non confrontational type who would rather tell you in a very nice soft voice just to deal with it instead of earning that 6 figure income.

I guess what I'm looking for is, if you get no results from these people who can you go to next? By the way I have thought for a long time kroger was trying to get rid of her because of her high rate of pay and her pension.

There is something wrong with somebody who asks an employee to co-sign a loan.  You don't do that and I would have told them you don't do that.  The woman needs to contact the union directly if she's not getting any help from the union steward at her store.  She might want to also contact the district manager.

Kroger ethics committee.  End it before it gets worse. I've used them a few times for customers/coworkers being disrespectful. She doesn't have to commit to signing a car loan. He's basically scamming her and will probably end up dumping the entire loan on her. Tell your manager what's going on. If need be transfer stores but we shouldn't have to.

I want to tell your friend, let her protect her rights. She should not sign any documents. Let him advise his boss to apply for bad credit loans in wisconsin, they have good interest there, they give out money quickly, but they put up huge interest for the installment payment.
