Ethics Point isn't worth the paper it's written on!

I submitted two issues (both anonymously) that had to do with people abusing tax-exempt status by using a service called Shipt. The other complaint I had was people writing down any old number in our tax exempt book and walking out without paying the requisite sales tax. Got a response saying that "periodic audits are done and if any issues arise it is handled at a corporate level. We don't want to delay the customer by taking time out to check." That is a load of BS-we are losing a TON of money in our store by people skirting ways not to pay sales tax!!!

Who  cares? I can guarantee you  Kroger will not do anything if Charlie Customer doesn't pay sales tax on whatever he buys (liquor, sodas, etc) why? Because they have more important things to worry about.

Ethics point has more important things to worry about whether than if someone pays sales tax or not.

Your issue is with Kroger, not EthicsPoint. EP is just a third-party contractor who reports issues back to Krogrr: it is up to KR, then, to act or not.

If you have a violation of law, report it to the relevant government agencies, your state's division of revenue, etc.
