Does anyone know what happens if you were to step down from your current title to take a different position, can they cut your pay or would you be "locked in" at your old pay rate? I'm so burnt out in my current position but can't afford to lose my dept head pay. As crazy as it sounds i would love to be a Clicklist lead (not the supervisor yet). I've been told by someone in another store i should do it but i can't if it would be a pay cut.

I dont believe you would continue to receive department head pay if you are no longer working as a department head. You would want to call the union and find out, or if you have a copy of our contract Im sure its in there.
We've had people step down from department heads/assistant department heads at my current store and while I'm only going by what one person told me, he says having less responsibility now was worth the pay cut. He's still "topped out" but they took away the department head premium pay that he was getting. If it was the case for him - and now he's just a full time clerk - then I'm guessing it's probably the same for the other department heads/assistant department heads at my current store.
In Southwest Division, ClickList Lead pay is $15.55. That includes the $0.50 an hour premium for being the lead. Meanwhile a full time, topped out ClickList employee pay is $15.00 that's why I'm not a lead - the premium lead pay sucks for the headache, hassle and stress a high-volume Marketplace ClickList Lead has to endure.
