I'm all for working more, but even the most diehard loyalist must admit, it's an expensive problem...

Burnout is a huge problem in the Local 199 area-we have had so many managers quit. I heard from my former manager who  went back to work at her old job at Home Depot-she was with Kroger forever!

To many cuts so we can spend it on krojis... leads to no work/life balance, leads to ppl leaving and an even worse work load imbalance, which all leads to hiring and retaining issues. My spouse was working 6-7 days a week 80 hours..as a SManager and it still wasn't good enough - so they left the company.

Honestly, it seems like our store is actually just Walmart's training department.  ****.

Burnout.  Yea.  A couple of days ago I clocked out and was walking through the store to leave and saw a person I used to know many years ago.  Really great person who I had lost touch with, looking great and doing well.  I almost said something polite like are you who I think you are?  Too ashamed.  Where am I working now?  Don't want this person to know.  Ashamed.  Shame contributes to burnout.

Actually, just had a store co-manager leave Kroger to go work an office job, because it was supposedly LESS stressful...
