I have noticed in the Local 1996 area that my local Publix has got more busier since the rebranding came out. They were running an ad here in Atlanta that shows a college kid coming home for Thanksgiving after all the food has been put away. He walks thru the door has Mom is putting the last of the pie away. The kid gets a piece and son and mom sit at the table. Those ads are REAL. On Feed, Kroger just posted their Christmas Kroji ad. This is getting ridiculous-and it is an insult to our customers. Publix isn't doing this BS about curbside pickup, or online ordering from their site (I think customers can order from then thru Instacart? Not sure if they participate on that site/) Publix is about the basics of grocery shopping and it will be interesting to see their 4th Quarter results versus Kroger's
Plus Publix stores (or at least the one I visited in Florida) close at 9, which is what time a store should close. No store needs to be open until after midnight or 24 hours
Kroger should be very, very thankful Publix isn't all over the country. Despite being more upscale and expensive, Publix was everywhere when I lived in Florida - I would typically see more Publix stores than Walmart or Target whenever driving around. Albertsons, Winn-Dixie & others closed up most or all of their stores in my area at the time.
There's a reason Kroger doesn't have any stores in Florida and part of that reason is Publix. If Publix ever goes nationwide, Kroger is gonna be in for a rough time.

Rumor is publix is opening 15 new stores in Nashville. They will own the place soon enough as Kroger has ruined it' s reputation here with employees and is running skeleton staffs - and customers are complaining a lot about store conditions.
When Publix first opened up here in Atlanta GA many of the stores were 24 hours. Then it cut back to 1AM then Midnight then 11PM then it seems they have settled on a 10PM closing time which it was when I worked for them many years ago. I wasn't there that long, only one year and I only worked there because it was close to where I was living at the time. Does anyone know what the northern most Publix store is located?

Do you mean Georgia? Publix goes as far north as Nashville TN for Georgia it looks like
Virginia richmond area now has several publix soon moving northward
I have contacted Publix via email. I asked them about opening a store in the town I live in. About 15 to 20 thousand people plus the surrounding counties. They said they have no plans. Only 2 big stores here Walmart and Kroger then Food Depot and a Piggly Wiggly. I am not sure how a Publix would do here if they ever do decide to locate here. Being as far north as Virginia I am surprised glad they are doing good and I don't think they have fuel centers or self checkout's.
