Ours are EXTREMELY short where I work. We are running on a crew powered almost exclusively by skeletons (and that's on a "good" day), and Christmas Holiday is one of THE BIGGEST holidays we have and for some STUPID REASON they want to cut hours. What I say is this; if we are not prepared too d@mn bad. Maybe if you didnt cut hours we would be... but it is what is is.
They aren't even waiting for the holidays to be over, my department has 115 hours on the Christmas week schedule... i'm like seriously?

It's always annoying to hear our department head talking about how our sales are first in the district and that we made a ton of money. Meanwhile the hours are cut and every week we're understaffed. Why should anyone care if we're not seeing any benefits from it? Greedy *******s.

Today, I guess I pISsed them off at work. I am.scheduled a 2:15-6:15pm and they wanted to know what time I started due to the schedule today is managed by skeletons. I told them that I was going to grab me a coffee and a bagel and they looked like I committed some sort of sin. If they want me to start early just ask. I am not fluent in 'death glares.'

If your in a store that is hard to hire for - Yeah - they still expect you to achieve results that only a better staffed store could possibly achieve. So the issue is not the skeleton staff, but Kroger's for poor treatment of workers, poor wages competitively speaking etc etc.
