Don't do it. You will work 80+ hours per week, many times 7 days a week.. and it will still not be enough due to staffing issues and an ungrateful, unhelpful DM who will constantly threaten you with write ups and termination. You will have zero level of job security here even if your really good and are making progress. You will be blamed for all Kroger's issues that were created at the top and has infected the stores.  

Avoid the Nashville district 1 like the plague. If your starving to death and must have something and this is the ONLY job you can find - ok - give it a shot. You might make it for a few months and make a few dollars. But if you already have employment or have other options - don't apply for any stores in D1 (maybe some other districts are better, but this one is awful) and they burn through store managers and asm here faster than a blowtorch through butter..  They just laid off a bunch months ago and rumor is more to come sometime in January.

It's an ongoing joke here that a promotion to SM is not a time of celebration, but a time of sorrow lol.. It means your on your way out. When they told some coordinators and various HR ppl they were going back into the stores they were all terrified..
