I've not heard anything lately - maybe it will be more covert - not a media attention, share holder, employee scaring layoff.. Maybe various ppl will just be targeted with ridiculous, undoable metrics to achieve so they can be fired or forced to resign.

Supposedly supposed to be sometime this month for in store management or at least before end of fiscal year. I think GO cuts were supposed to be later this year. Nothing so far in our division.

Easy to reduce the number of bodies. Don't replace the people who get real jobs. Mess with people that you fear will not be loyal no matter what. Fire a few useless non-union management, but retain the real bastards and any that are good but stay on.
